We were on vacation in The States, it was Thanksgiving and the phone rang at 6.30 am. Usually I'm not happy when anyone rings me at that hour but this phonecall was worth waking up for!
I am SO incredibly honored to be nominated, for the second year in a row, for the Bruids Foto Award 2012 in the category "weddings and emotions"!! Thanksgiving was the most amazing day to receive this news!!

And then they told me to keep it quiet. For nearly two months. Seriously, that is NO joke for me as I wanted to shout it from the rooftops straight away! Thankfully two of my closest friends are nominated aswell so we could at least share the joy amongst us :)

This is the photo that's been nominated, taken at the wedding of Rochelle and Marc. Rochelle and Marc are still one of my favorite couples to this day and thanks to Facebook I'm still in touch with them. This is Rochelle with her dad (who's such a total sweetheart by the way!) congratulating her right after the ceremony. It was such a heartfelt moment and it touches me every time I see this image.

Tijdens onze vakantie in de States, op Thanksgiving, ging om half 7 in de ochtend mijn telefoon. Normaal gesproken word ik niet heel blij als ik om dat tijdstip gebeld word, maar dit telefoontje was de moeite waard om voor wakker te worden!
Ik ben SUPERBLIJ en trots te mogen mededelen dat ik, voor het tweede jaar op rij, genomineerd ben voor de Bruidsfoto Award! Ditmaal in de categorie Huwelijk en Emotie! Thanksgiving was de meest perfecte dag om dit nieuws te krijgen!

En toen moest ik het stilhouden. Bijna 2 maanden. Dat was echt geen grapje voor me want ik wilde het eigenlijk van de daken schrreeuwen! Gelukkig zijn twee goeie vriendinnen ook genomineerd en konden we het nieuws onderling wel al delen.

Dit is de genomineerde foto, genomen tijdens de bruiloft van Rochelle en Marc. Rochelle en Marc zijn nog steeds een van mijn meest favoriete koppels en dankzij Facebook heb ik nog steeds contact met ze. Dit is Rochelle met haar vader (die echt ook zo'n lieverd is!) die haar feliciteert direct na de ceremonie. Het is zo'n ontroerend en liefdevol moment en het raakt me iedere keer als ik deze foto zie.
